POSITION INFORMATION

The position is part of the marketing team that manages various aspects of the Lottery services contracts and provides communications support to a statewide retailer network.

This position does not support telework and requires a regular in-office presence. 

Examples of Work: Daily Projects:
• Informational sheets for:
• All new Scratch games;
• Any retailer promotion with its accompanying point-of-sale signage; and
• Retailer training
• Monthly newsletters and quarterly publications
• Annual reports.
• Coupons for all Scratch and Lotto games
• Artwork for the different social media applications (web art, Facebook, etc.)
• Winner awareness (winner banners & wobblers)
• Custom designed premiums items.
• Branding retailer location with Lottery messages
• Newspaper ads of any upcoming Lottery events
• Drawing boxes and entry forms
• Store specific signage
• Beneficiary fund promotion signage
• Online fillable forms 

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, accounting or any discipline related to the work assigned. One year of experience in planning, organizing, and implementing program administrative or business financial functions. Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

PREFERRED: Minimum of two years of experience in an advertising, marketing, or printing production environment including familiarity with appropriate software, equipment, and processes; experience in use of:
MAC Computer with the following software programs:
• QuarkXPress
• Adobe InDesign
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Acrobat Pro
• Microsoft Powerpoint
• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Outlook

Experience working with the following equipment also helpful:
- Konica Minolta AccurioPress C3070
- Epson SureColor S30670 wide format printer
- Titan 200 Challenger paper cutter
- Laminator

OTHER: A valid driver's license is required; at the final selection step, in accordance with state statute Section 9-808, the Department will conduct background investigations which will include, but not be limited to, checks of police records, conviction records, national and statewide criminal records clearinghouse, and fingerprint. It is a condition of employment with the Nebraska Lottery that an applicant will supply his or her fingerprints and complete a disclosure form for the purpose of conducting a background investigation. Any individual convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude, fraud, theft, theft of services, and theft by deception and any individual whose constitutional rights have been forfeited and not restored will NOT be eligible for employment with the Nebraska Lottery. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The position’s work encompasses design, production and distribution of a variety of print publications such as player and retailer newsletters, annual reports, game and promotion descriptions, product information post cards.

The position includes specialized knowledge used to create serialized and barcoded promotional coupons, event signage, event promotional games, customized retailer signage, vehicle wrap signage, and window transfer signage, as well as large-scale banners.

The position also develops and produces forms for use by the Nebraska Lottery and Charitable Gaming Division.

In addition to knowledge, skills and abilities associated with design and preparation of the above-mentioned items, it would be useful to have knowledge of printing and production equipment for such materials. The position manages in-house equipment for including high-speed color printing, large-format printing and lamination, and bulk cutting and trimming.
