POSITION INFORMATION

You will be able to develop your clinical skills in a unique setting while obtaining free clinical licensure supervision! Prince William County Community Services is seeking qualified applicants to fill a full time Therapist II position for a recovery oriented, community-based Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) team. The team serves adults with serious mental illness (e.g., schizophrenia) or co-occurring serious mental illness and substance use disorders (e.g., schizophrenia and alcohol dependence). Services are primarily provided outside the office in the community, residential settings and/or client's homes. The work involves the assessment, intervention, counseling/therapy, treatment and rehabilitation of clients requiring application of basic counseling knowledge and skills in working with clients and families. This is a 37.5 hour position primarily Monday through Friday but weekend and holiday coverage is shared among team members. We provide clinical supervision and have been approved for several loan forgiveness programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related behavioral science field and 1-2 years experience providing services to seriously mentally ill adults.
Eligible for license as LCSW or LPC within 2 years.


Preferred Skills:
LCSW, LPC or Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Experience providing services to seriously mentally ill adults and adults with co-occurring disorders Experience with ICT, PACT, or ACT team. Experience, training and knowledge of medication management. Experience providing Vocational services.

Special Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license;
Must pass DMV record check;
Must pass TB test;

Offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing a fingerprinted-based national criminal history record check.
Child Protective Services Requirements:  Effective 1999, mandated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services 12VA35-105-400 rules and Regulations for Licensing Providers by the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services related to Criminal Registry Checks, a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglected maintained by the Department of Social Services.

Entry Salary Range: $ 66,742.00 - $98,380.00
